Might is an ability that is superior to great obstacles. It is called dominance (Gerwald) if it is superior even to the resistance of something that itself possesses might. (...) We can, however, consider an object fearful without being afraid of it, namely, if we judge it in such a way that we merely think of the case where we might possibly want to put up the resistance against it, and that any resistance would in that case be utterly futile.
